Pie in the Sky

This organization works to get citizen migrant workers into stable lives. To that end, I taught a migrant worker how to read and apply for jobs via an iPad someone had given him. Then I built web pages specifically for him to access through the tablet. I built him an online tutorial of the driver license test prep booklet, with fill-in-the-blanks for reading comprehension, and small quizzes for feedback. I developed a website to showcase and link to our tutoring activities, with the migrant worker’s name as the domain and his photo as the welcome screen. I built him a self-calculating budget and taught him how to enter his earning and spending and see the balance. I led him through applying for a job online and even finding details about his previous employers in the process.
