Seaside garden by Amy Howard and ChatGPT 4.0
So, I went to a lecture at UNF on the reality of artificial intelligence. The guy said, “Use it for every little thing.”
So, said I to the AI,
“Create an image of a seaside garden in northeast Florida that showcases these native plants: scrub oak, saw palmetto, cabbage palm, rusty lyonia, yaupon holly, dune sunflower, railroad vine, fire bush, Muhly grass.”
Said AI,
“Here is the image of a seaside garden in northeast Florida featuring the native plants you requested. Let me know if you’d like any modifications!”
Said I,
“That is beautiful. Can you add some Florida native red bay trees?”
Said AI,
“I’ve added Florida native red bay trees to your seaside garden image. Let me know if you’d like any further modifications!”

Then I took a walk through the native garden at GTM and read the placards out loud.
Said I,
“Add these plants:
Callicarpa Americana, passiflora incarnate, mimosa strigillosa, sida ulmifolia, lonicera sempervirens, pityopsis graminifolia, chamaecrista fasciculata, optinia spp, monarda punctata, psychotria Nervosa, tripsacum dactyloids, coreopsis Floridana, rhus copallinum, zamia integrifolia, magnolia grandiflora, sabal palmetto.”
Said AI,
“Here is your updated seaside garden image, now featuring all the native Florida plants you requested. Let me know if you need any further refinements!”

This deserves a big screen and a bottle of wine. Won’t you join me?
